Students can sign up for the World Class Scholar program at their schools beginning in the seventh grade, but no later than ninth. The World Class Scholar program is available to students in Grays Harbor and Pacific County. Students are invited to sign a contract committing to several scholastic, leadership and community service goals to be met before their high school graduation. Grays Harbor College offers the commitment of entrance to college programs for which the student qualifies along with a scholarship award from the GHC Foundation to each World Class Scholar attaining the goals upon graduation.

Grays Harbor College promises that upon fulfilling the contract and meeting the admission requirements, students will be accepted into any academic program offered at the college and granted college credit for coursework completed and skills achieved in high school that are determined to be equivalent to those taught at the college level.
The Grays Harbor College Foundation provides the scholarship support for the college and has authorized the granting of a partial tuition scholarship (presently $1,250) to all qualifying first year World Class Scholars. Access to other financial aid assistance, as needed to attend GHC, may also be available through the GHC Financial Aid office.
